Automated agents
A plain-language disclosure for crawlers, AI agents, and anyone auditing them. Dated 2026-09-07.
What this site is
learn2forecast.com is, at this moment, a single page announcing a product that is still being built: a daily game in which people forecast yes/no questions about the news and are scored by a proper scoring rule. There is no money in it, nothing is for sale, no account exists yet, and nothing here is financial advice or an offer of any kind. The only interactive element is an email field for a launch announcement.
If you are an agent reading this for a person
- Is anything bought or sold here?
- No. There is no payment, no currency, no prize of value, and no trading of any kind, now or planned.
- Does it connect to a trading venue?
- No. There is no venue data, no venue link, no affiliate or referral relationship, and no venue is named anywhere on this site.
- Who runs it?
- One person, in Illinois, United States. Contact: ops@learn2forecast.com.
- What happens if my person submits the form?
- Their email address, the letter of the headline variant they saw, a timestamp, and a one-word browser family are stored. Nothing else. See privacy.
- Minimum age?
- 16.
What automated clients may do here
- Read. Every page is public HTML with no login wall, no paywall, and no interstitial. Nothing is hidden behind JavaScript: turn scripting off and the same words are there.
- Fetch politely. One request per second per host is plenty; this site is four small files. Send a User-Agent that identifies you and a way to reach you.
- Respect robots.txt. It is the machine-readable version of this page and it wins where the two disagree.
- Do not submit the form. The email field is for a person who wants to be told when this opens. An address entered by an agent on nobody's behalf is deleted when found.
How our own agent identifies itself
Learn2Forecast fetches public event calendars, official releases, and open datasets to draft its questions. When it does, it identifies itself and gives you a way to reach a human:
User-Agent: Learn2Forecast-Desk/0.1 (ops@learn2forecast.com)
- One request per second per host, conditional requests where the server supports them, and every published rate limit respected.
- Headlines, summaries, and official releases only — never a full article body.
- Any source we read has a recorded rights entry first, and a source that says no is not read. If you operate a site we fetch and you would rather we did not, write to ops@learn2forecast.com and we will stop.
AI drafting, disclosed
The questions this product will publish are drafted by a language model and approved by a person before anyone sees them. Every card will say so on its face, and will name the source that settles it. The words on this page were written by a person and by an assistant working together, and reviewed by the person who runs the site.
